Produce Manager

Mollie Stone’s Markets, a gourmet, independent grocery store chain, seeks a Produce Manager for our Tower Market Location in San Francisco.(Twin Peaks neighborhood)  This individual will be driven by customer service, have a love of grocery, facilitate a positive work environment and a love of fresh produce.  


  • Ensure freshness and quality of product upon delivery and restocking
  • Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh product
  • Update and maintain product signage and department appearance
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • Manages the department inventories by tracking weekly sales and reports
  • Manage produce department employees, train and develop, and assist in the hiring process for new candidates
  • Control department expenses by improving operation and efficiencies, by controlling labor costs and reducing losses due to shrinkage
  • Ensure that employees work and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times and comply with all requirements and guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Previous experience in Produce department
  • At least 1-2 years management experience
  • A passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude
  • Ability to identify quality or freshness of produce by sight or smell
  • Experience in executing goals, effectively creating change and increasing efficiency in a positive work environment
  • Available to work a flexible shift, including some evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Able to travel to multiple locations within Marin
