Mollie Stone's Markets, a gourmet, independent grocery store chain, seeks a Full Time Warehouse Clerk for our Produce Warehouse (located in San Francisco's Produce Terminal). The right candidate will be committed to our mission, vision and values, be flexible working on various tasks and available to work the graveyard shift from 10:30 pm to 7:30 am.

This is a full-time, hourly/non exempt position.

Essential Functions:

Performs various operations, including unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items to maintain inventory within our Produce Distribution Center (PDC) warehouse.
Takes direction to maintain optimum quality and flow of receiving.
Operates various merchandise handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures.
Participates and maintains a safe and healthy workplace environment in the warehouse.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years Warehouse clerk experience or related experience.
Possess a valid CA Drivers License (no special class required)

Preferred qualifications:

Specialized warehouse training and/or Certification
Ability to drive a bobtail truck
Ability to serve as a back-up driver for South San Francisco pick-ups and city store distribution/deliveries as needed.
Forklift certification

Knowledge of Produce merchandise
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Demonstrated discipline and professionalism.

Physical requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Able to wok in wet and cold conditions
Standing: Up to 8 hours per day
Walking: Up to 8 hours per day
Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day

Compensation:

Pay scale: $20.81-$23.92 depending on industry experience.
